Punjab: Urban Population as per Census 2011

    As per the census 2011, 377,106,125 people out of the total population of Punjab live in urban areas in which the number of males are 195,489,200 and females are 181,616,925. In Urban areas, the sex ratio is 929 females per 1000 males.


    The total number of children between 0-6 years living in urban areas are 43,192,388. In Punjab, total literates in urban region are 280,844,977 as per Census 2011 out of which males are 153,402,248 and females are 127,442,729.
