AKTU releases notification for offline semester exams, Students protest for online exams, Check details here

 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow has issued a notification regarding conducting the semester examinations in the offline mode for the students. Students have been asking the university to conduct the exams in the online mode considering the ongoing pandemic situation.

AKTU Semester Exams: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow has issued a notification regarding conducting the semester examinations in the offline mode for the students. As per the detailed notification provided, AKTU Lucknow will be conducting the odd semester examinations in offline mode from December 28, 2021, to January 15, 2022.

 

Students of the university on the other hand are not very receptive to the decision of the university to conduct the exams in the offline mode. According to recent reports, the students of the university have intensified their online protest against the university conducting the examinations for the students in the offline mode amidst the rising COVID-19 situation. The students have begun their online Twitter campaign - AKTU Online Exam Lekat Rahenge.

The students from all the Engineering and Management students studying in the 763 affiliated colleges of the university have put in their objections to the university decision. Students have also been posting memes against the university's decision. 

The students questioned the decision asking about the use of being a technical university when technology is not being put to use during the pandemic. They further added that the number of students in AKTU is in lakhs and the university is not looking at the risk they are putting the students in by conducting the offline exams.
