
Calicut University has reportedly repeated its question paper used in the first semester for the B.Ed examination conducted in December 2018 for the examination conducted on Monday. According to media reports, the question paper for the Education in Contemporary India examination which was conducted on Monday was exactly the same question paper that was used by the university used last year.
The error was brought to the notice of the Calicut university authorities by the different colleges as soon as the examination ended on Monday. The university in the evening announced that the examination is cancelled along with postponing the remaining examinations for the first semester. The authorities of Calicut University have stated that the new dates for the cancelled and postponed examinations will be announced later.
According to the Calicut University Controller of Examinations CC Babu the first-semester B.Ed examinations to be conducted on December 13, 2019, have been postponed. He also added that the incident of the question paper repeating for the B.Ed examination will be looked into by the Syndicate Examination Standing Committee thoroughly.
In the previous month, Calicut University postponed three third semester degree examinations for the distance education students out if a suspicion that the correct answers were printed for the multiple-choice questions were printed in cold letters in the question paper.
Calicut University had also recently found out during the evaluation of the BA Afsal Ul Ulema fourth semester examination held in June that the correct answers among the four options of the multiple-choice questions in the question paper were printed in bold. The examination was taken by close to 600 students.

Calicut University had earlier released the results of the 4th semester B.Sc and 2nd Semester M.Sc programmes on the official website of the university. The students who have appeared for the examinations can check the results on the official website of the university.
