CBSE Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education in a recent announcement has mandated for installation of CCTV systems in all the affiliated schools which have been designated as exam centres for the CBSE 10th and 12th exam 2025.
The decision to put exam centres under CCTV surveillance has been made to monitor and ensure that the board exams are conducted fairly and smoothly prohibiting any unfair practices.
This year CBSE is expected to conduct the class 10 and class 12 exams in February 2025. As per reports, the exams are set to commence on February 15, 2025. The complete schedule of the examination is expected soon. Over 44 lakh students are estimated to appear for the exams across various exam centres in the country and 26 countries outside India. Almost 8000 schools are being designated as exam centres for the CBSE exam 2025.

As per the directive issued, CBSE has made it clear that schools without CCTV facilities will not be considered exam centres. The notification emphasises the importance of following the privacy regulations, ensuring that students are staff members are informed of the CCTV installations and the footage remains confidential and accessible only to authorised personnel.
The guidelines issued state that cameras must be installed to cover all exam areas and the footage must be recorded continuously in high resolution.
