The Regional Centre for Biotechnology has begun the online application forms for the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B). According to the notification provided, the GAT-B online applications were released on June 1, 2020. Candidates interested to apply for the examination can visit the official website to fill and submit the applications.
According to the dates provided, the GAT-B applications can be submitted until June 18, 2020. Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology previously conducted as Combined Entrance Examination in Biotechnology by JNU is conducted for the admissions to the biotechnology courses offered at the different institutions.

Before filling the GAT-B Registration form candidates are advised to first read through the instructions provided on the official website. It must also be noted that the application forms once submitted after paying the application fee online will not be subjected to any edit or change. Hence candidates are advised to enter all the details in the GAT-B applications carefully.
The GAT-B examination will be conducted in a single shift for a duration of 180 minutes with two sets of question papers. The first set of examination papers will contain 60 multiple choice questions which include Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biotechnology. The second set of question papers will have an analytical question on Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and other allied areas. In the second set of questions, candidates are required to attempt 60 questions out of the 100 questions.

Candidates applying for the aptitude test from the general category are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 1000/- while the students from the OBC category are to submit an application fee of Rs.500.
