Goa SSC Exam 2021 Cancelled: As per the latest update, the Goa Class 10 Exam 2021 i.e. SSC Exam has been cancelled by the State Government in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant addressed today on Goa Board Exam 2021 through a live session on Twitter in which the decision to cancel Class 10 Board Exam was announced. In addition to this, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also confirmed that final decision GBSHSE Class 12 or Goa HSSC Exam 2021 will be announced by 25th May 2021. Goa CM also confirmed that the official notice with complete details about the cancellation and promotion matrix would be notified on the official website, gbshse.info soon.
Decision Based on Recommendation of Expert Committee
While announcing the decision about cancellation of Goa Class 10 Board Exam 2021 for SSC students, the Chief Minister said that the decision has been taken after taking all the stakeholders in confidence. He also added that the state government had appointed an expert committee to look into the matter of GBSHSE SSC Exam 2021 and based on their recommendations the decision to cancel the exam has been taken. The expert committee comprised of officials from the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary School Education and Education Department of Goa as well as experts in the field.
Promotion Formula for SSC Students
While announcing the decision, Goa Chief Minister said that the Goa Board will soon notify the promotion criteria or formula on the basis of which students would be promoted to the next academic grade in the light of the cancellation of exams. He also added that those who are failing in one or two subjects would be required to appear for re-examination and clear the same soon. Furthermore, Goa CM also added that those who want to opt for Science and Diploma streams will have to undergo a one-day Goa 10th Board Exam 2021, which will be conducted by the GBSHSE Board. Students will be informed 15 days in advance about this one-day examination. The private students will have to undergo a one-day or three-day exam, the dates of which would be announced later.
