Gujarat School Reopening News: In line with the Gujarat Government’s earlier directions, Schools across the state are all ready to welcome students back on campus nearly after 9 months from today i.e. 11th January onwards. For now, Class 10 and Class 12 students, who are due to appear for the upcoming board exams have been permitted to visit schools for in-person regular classes. Earlier on Wednesday, Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama had announced that schools for Class 10 and 12 will reopen from next Monday with complete adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.

Colleges to Reopen for Final Year Students

In addition to reopening of schools, colleges in Gujarat are also slated to reopen from today onwards for Final Year students for both undergraduate as well as postgraduate level courses. The decision was confirmed by Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office via a tweet from the official account. The tweet read “Gujarat Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announces the reopening of Standard 10 and 12 classes as well as Graduate and Post Graduate Final Year classes from 11th January across the state with mandatory compliance of Corona prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs) and consent of parents.” Earlier, there was confusion with regards to mandatory requirement of parental consent to attend regular classes in schools; however CMO’s tweet confirmed that consent of parents would be mandatorily required by students.
