Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has extended the completion of Orientation Course/ IT Training by the CA students who are undergoing practical training. The institute issued a notification extending the orientation course. As per the notification provided, the orientation has been extended until June 30, 2021. The dates earlier announced were May 31, 2021.
The decision to extend the orientation schedule was taken by the institute considering the COVID-19 situation. According to the rules of the institution, the students are required to complete the integrated course on information technology and software consisting of an information technology training and orientation course of 15 days each.

According to the information provided on the official notification, the institute has stated that the students are required to complete the Orientation course/IT Training course yet to complete the course before May 31, 2021, and complete the course before June 30, 2021. The notification further stated that the students who do not complete the training before June 30, 2021, as per the extension their practical training period will be extended in direct proportion to the delay in the completion of the orientation training.
ICAI has allowed students to complete their information technology training and orientation course due to COVID-19. The extension of dates by the institution is a one-time measure that has been notified in the 401 meetings conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
