IIM Indore Placements: Rs 23.60 LPA average offered in final placement of PGP, IPM batches

Indian Institute of Management Indore has recorded an average domestic salary of Rs. 23.60 lakh annually during its placement drive conducted for 2019-21 batch postgraduate students and a five-year integrated programme in Management. 

The average salary recorded for this year showed a three percent rise as compared to the previous year. According to a notification issued by the institute, the average salary recorded for the top 100 students was Rs. 33 lakh per annum, while the highest domestic salary and international salary recorded for this placement season were Rs. 41.5 lakh per annum and Rs. 56.8 lakh per annum.

IIM Indore Director Professor Himanshu Rai stated that the institution is delighted by the continued faith of the recruiters in the students of the institutions. He further pointed out that placing the largest number of students across IIMs for the final placements considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge but the efforts of the placement cell in setting up virtual placement drives ensured a hassle-free completion of the placements. 

40 First Time Recruiters

Along with the top recruiters, over 40 first-time recruiters also participated in the placement drive seeking candidates for multiple roles. The most sought-after positions included Finance, Sales and Marketing and Consulting with the finance consisting a total of 24 percent offers. 

Other roles offered included banking and corporate banking, private equity, and equity research in the finance domains while sales and marketing were also a sought-after domain this year.
