Class 11 students in Jammu and Kashmir are requesting that the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) postpone their current exams because of the region's severe rainfall and snowfall. The board has made the decision to hold the tests as planned in spite of these worries.

Soft zone JKBOSE Class 11 exams started on February 18, 2025, and are scheduled to end on March 18, 2025. Among the topics covered today are environmental science, computer science, English, and information practices. Physics, history, public administration, resource management, home science (an elective), and business papers will all be covered in the final exams.

Social media has been used by parents and students to voice their worries about how safe it is to commute in bad weather. "JKBOSE should consider postponing today's Class 11th exam for the safety of the students due to the ongoing snowfall that is affecting all roads in Kashmir," said one user on X (previously Twitter). The JK government is urged to step in and take the appropriate measures.

JKBOSE Class 11 : Mobile Phones

Apart from weather-related problems, there have been rumors of anomalies throughout the tests. A student is shown in a widely shared video purportedly using a cell phone in the exam room, which is obviously against the rules that forbid using electronic devices. One user who shared the video wrote, "Free and fair exams in Jammu and Kashmir are a myth—kids using mobile phones in the exam hall and making reels."

Both teachers and students have been further agitated by claims that the exam papers for the difficult zone regions had questions that weren't on the syllabus.

Over the past five years, JKBOSE has removed crucial topics from textbooks, according to opponents.  "JKBOSE has removed key subjects from textbooks over the last five years," stated Waheed Para, a politician with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).  Only yesterday was it possible to change "state of body" to "UT of body" by hitting Ctrl+R.  This is not an educational reform, but a deliberate endeavor to destroy our history, identity, and culture to fit a BJP narrative.
