
JNTUH’s 9th Convocation Function Today: As per the official announcement, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad will hold its 9th Convocation Ceremony today in a virtual manner. Details coming from Hyderabad campus of the varsity has confirmed that a total of 78395 students to receive degrees in a virtual ceremony to be held today.
Chief Guests for Convocation Function
Taking to account the pandemic situation and the rising number of cases in the state, the convocation ceremony of JNTU-H will be held online in virtual manner. Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will preside over the convocation ceremony as the chief guest. He will be joined by DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy, who will deliver the convocation address to the students.
78395 Students to Graduate
According to the details shared by the university, a total of 78395 will be graduating from the institute on Friday and will receive their graduate degrees in the convocation ceremony. Of the total number of students receiving their degrees, 61,295 are BTech students while 5,191 are MTech students. On similar lines, 4,793 MBA students and 3,406 B Pharmacy students will also be receiving their degrees on Friday. JNTU Hyderabad will also confer Gold Medals to 53 students for their outstand achievements in academics and research.
The university offers 57 engineering streams. Of the total number of colleges affiliated to JNTUH, 48 are accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and 46 are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The university has received grants from various agencies towards research projects worth Rs 259.3 lakh.
