Kerala SSLC and Plus Two Exams 2020 to be held in May, as per schedule announced earlier, confirms, CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Kerala Board Exam 2020 in May, confirms CM: Putting all rumours and speculations to an end, the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed that Kerala SSLC Exam 2020 for 10th Class students and Kerala Plus Two Exam 2020 for 12th Class students will be held in May, as per the schedule announced earlier.

Kerala Board Exam 2020 in May, confirms CM: Putting all rumours and speculations to an end, the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed that Kerala SSLC Exam 2020 for 10th Class students and Kerala Plus Two Exam 2020 for 12th Class students will be held in May, as per the schedule announced earlier. Earlier in the day, media reports started doing the rounds that Kerala Board Exam 2020 for 10th and 12th Class students have been postponed by the state government following the extension in the nationwide lockdown until 31st May 2020. However, the latest clarification from the Chief Minister has put all such reports to rest and confirmed that SSLC Exam of Kerala Board for the remaining papers will be held from 26th to 28th May 2020. Similarly, Plus Two Exams will also be held for Kerala Board students from 26th May 2020 to 30th May 2020.

Revised Datesheet Was Announced Last Week

Last Week, Kerala Government had announced that the pending board exams for SSLC and Plus Two Students would be held from 26th to 31st May 2020. As reported earlier, Kerala SSLC Exam 2020 will be held from 26th May to 28th May 2020 i.e. on three consecutive days, while  for Plus Two Students i.e. 12th Class, will also be held from 26th May 2020 to 30th May 2020.

Pending Exams for 10th and 12th Class Students

According to the official update, for 10th Class students exams are pending only for three key subjects i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. On the other hand, for 12th Class Students, exams for a total of 5 subjects are pending currently. These pending exams were scheduled to be held from 23rd to 26th March 2020 but were postponed until a later date due to the nationwide lockdown announced to contain spread of Coronavirus.

Evaluation Work Underway from 13th May Onwards

While a few exams are yet pending for Kerala SSLC and Plus Two Exams; the state government has also given orders for start of the evaluation work for answer sheet for the exams which have already been held. The checking of answer scripts or copies for Kerala SSLC Exam 2020 and DHSE Kerala Plus Two Exam 2020 commenced on 13th May 2020. However, as few exams for both 10th and 12th class students are yet to be completed, it is nearly impossible to estimate the date for Kerala Board Exam Result 2020 right now.
