Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Lok Sabha Election 2024 is being held in seven phases. The first phase of the elections will begin on April 19, 2024. In the first phase, voting will be held in a total of 21 states. Considering the electrons, schools and colleges will remain closed on voting day. The list of states where elections will be held in the first phase is given below. 

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Phase 1 Elections

As mentioned, the Phase 1 Lok Sabha elections will be held on April 19, 2024. A totaling of 21 states and union territories will be voting in phase one. The list if states and other details are provided below.

  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands – Andaman and Nicobar Islands
  • Arunachal Pradesh – Arunachal Pradesh East, Arunachal Pradesh West
  • Assam – Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaziranga, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur

  • Jammu and Kashmir – Udhampur
  • Chhattisgarh – Bastar
  • Lakshadweep – Lakshadweep

Schools in UP Closed on April 19

Schools in certain places in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on April 19, 2024. In UP voting will be held in Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur and Pilibhit regions. All government and private schools and colleges will remain closed as per the announcement made by the local administration.
