In order to review the preparedness of the Delhi Government-run universities and the Director of IIIT Delhi to conduct the pending examinations as well as the online learning programme in the time of the lockdown, the Lt. Governor Anil Baijal conducted a meeting with the Vice-Chancellors of the Delhi Government University.
The Lt. Governor conducted meetings with the Vice-Chancellor of Universities including - GGSIPU, DTU, NSUT, AUD, IGDTUW, DPSRU, and Director, IIIT-Delhi via video conferencing.

The Lt. Governor has also asked all the Vice Chancellors to make sure there is continuity of educational activities, internships, placements, and admissions for the next academic session keeping in mind that the safety of the students, faculty members, and other staff members is ensured. According to a statement released by the Lt. Governor's office, the Governor has also asked Vice Chancellors to bring out a plan for the next academic year.
In the meeting, the Vice-Chancellors and Director of the university informed the governor about the present curriculum status including the admission process, examination schedule, teaching-learning, internship programmes, and the placements of the students.
Points Discussed in the Meeting
The Lt. Governor also emphasized on the use of technology for learning, admission processes, and the examinations of the present academic session. He also stated that every institute must develop a virtual classroom and video conferencing facility for the students. All teachers should also be trained in the use of technology.
The Lt. The Governor has also instructed the Vice Chancellors to complete the syllabus on time and conduct the examinations and declare the results and facilitate the students to participate online for the admissions, placement process, and research and training.
