Maharashtra Colleges Reopening: As per the updates, After, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s decision to allow the reopening of schools in the state, the Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Uday Samant, has stated that the government will also consider reopening of colleges. Maharashtra College reopening decision is likely to be taken soon.
As for the colleges, they remain closed in the state. Earlier Uday Samant had announced the closure of colleges till February 15, 2022 in the state. However, with the low case of hospitalization, many have been asking for the educational institutions to be reopened.

Taking to Twitter, Uday Samant wrote, “Regarding starting colleges in the state, will discuss with Hon. Chief Minister Uddhav Saheb...and will send it to him for final approval of the proposal.”
Decision To Reopen Colleges To be Taken Soon
The Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Uday Samant had also announced that all the examinations be conducted in online mode during the tenure. The decision would now be reviewed in light of the present situation and the proposal sent to the Chief Minister. A decision on the same is likely soon.
Maharashtra Schools Reopening
Earlier, in the week the Maharashtra government has announced that it has decided to reopen all schools from Pre-primary to Class 12 from 24th January 2022. The local bodies have been given permission to decide on the reopening of schools. Following the announcement, Mumbai schools were also given the go-ahead to resume physical classes from Monday onwards.
The announcement comes a few days after Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the state government will take a call in the next 10-15 days for resuming physical classes across the state.
