Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced the ‘Lagla Bhai Yojana’ scheme provisioning financial aid to unemployed males in the state. The new scheme provides aid to unemployed male students who have completed their class 12, diploma or graduate degree.
The scheme provides benefits to the youth based on their education qualifications. According to the scheme details, students who have completed class 12 will receive Rs. 6000 per month while those who have completed their diploma will receive Rs. 8000 per month and graduates will receive Rs. 10,000 per month.
The Ladla Bhai Yojana is similar to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme which was announced by Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. The Ladli Bahin Yojana provides a steady income to women in the state between the age group of 21 to 60. A monthly allowance of Rs. 1500 will be given to women under this scheme.
CM Eknath Shinde when announcing the scheme mentioned that despite the similarities, the Ladla Bhai Yojana is not exclusively for men while the the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is specifically for women.
Young individuals under the Lasla Bhai Yojana will participate in a one-year apprenticeship in a factory acquiring valuable work experience and aiding them to secure jobs based on their experience earned initiating a skilled workforce. The government will pay the youth during the one year apprenticeship to help them become proficient in their jobs, he further added.
