Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune has released the schedule for the NTSE exam 2019. Maharashtra NTSE will be conducted in November 2019.

Maharashtra NTSE 2019: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune has released the information brochure for National Talent Search Scheme. The examination is held for the students of standard 10 to identify pure talent. Students who wish to apply for the state and national level examinations can visit the official website to check the information related to the examination.

The National Talent Search Scheme examination is conducted in two levels. Stage 1 examination is the state level exam which will be conducted on November 2, 3 and 17, 2019 while the Stage 2 examination will be held on May 10, 2019. The stage 1 examination for Maharashtra will be held on November 17, 2019. Candidates can apply for the examination by contacting the state/UT liaison officer. As per the notification provided on the official website, the completed application form has to be signed by the principal of the respective schools. The last date to submit the application form will be different for the different states and union territories. The last date for submission of the application forms for the state of Maharashtra is September 11, 2019. Candidates can find the complete schedule for the Maharashtra NTSE examination here.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for NTSE 2019 are required to fulfill the eligibility prescribed for the examination. As per the eligibility mentioned in the notification, the candidates appearing for the NTSE examination must be students of class 10 studying in recognized institutions. No domicile restrictions will be applicable.

Examination

The examination is divided into two stages as mentioned above. In both the stages, candidates will have to attempt two Papers which are Paper 1: Mental Ability Test and Paper 2: Scholastic Ability Test. Both the papers will be for a total of 200 marks and the candidates are required to 200 questions in total for a duration of 120 minutes. Candidates must note that no negative marking will be applicable for the examination

Application Fee

Candidates are required to submit the application form along with the fee of Rs 150 by September 11, 2019 for the Maharashtra NTSE examination.  a late fee of Rs 275 will be levied on the applications received by September 18, 2019. An extra fee of Rs 400/- will be levied on the applications received by September 25, 2019.
