Punjabi University Patiala has postponed the examination scheduled to be conducted today amidst the call for Punjab Bandh which was announced for today. As per the schedule, the examination will now be conducted from October 14, 2020. According to the schedule, the exams will not be conducted from September 26 to October 14, 2020.
Punjabi University Controller of Examinations, Professor JIS Khattar stated that the exams have been postponed as the students, principles of various colleges, and the representatives of private Colleges Associations which have been brought to the notice due to the Punjab Bandh on September 25, 2020, the students and staff who will be appearing for the exams will find it difficult to conduct the exams. He also stated that avoiding any kind of inconvenience for the students and teachers the decision has been taken to postpone the examinations.
The controller of examination also added that the paper scheduled to be conducted on October 4 has also been postponed due to the UPSC competitive exams being conducted on the same day. The exam will now be held on October 13, 2020.
The revised dates of the examinations will be available on the official website of the university shortly. He also added that the NTA will be conducting the UGC exams during the days when the university is conducting the exams and so in order to avoid a clash the university will change the timing of the exams for certain papers the university has stated that the students will be informed accordingly if there us a chance and have also advised the students to remain updated by visiting the official's website of the university.
