TN Semester Exams Postponed

Tamil Nadu Semester Exams 2021: As per the latest updates, the Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K Ponmudi informed that the semester exams for all engineering, science, arts and polytechnics have been postponed. All the exams will be held after 20th January 2022 to give students more time to prepare for offline exams. Also, the students were protesting demanding that the semester exams should be conducted online. While making the announcement, the minister pointed out the government granted two-month time to the students to prepare themselves.

Students Protest for Online Exams

Students were protesting demanding that the semester exams be conducted online. The state government will withdraw the cases filed against the protesting students, Ponmudi said. According to the media reports, “Ponmudi said the universities and colleges would finish the syllabus before the start of the exam and conduct model exams before the start of semester exams from 20th January.”

“The higher education department, along with controllers of examinations from state universities, discussed with 11 student organisations, including the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the All India Students Federation,” the report added.

Anna University Decision To Conduct Offline Exams

Anna University’s decision to conduct offline semester examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students of engineering had left several private engineering colleges unhappy. Many private colleges argued that students have been writing online exams for the last three semesters and that they need time to practice writing long-form answers.

TN SSLC Supplementary Result 2021 Declared

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has released the TN Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) supplementary exam result 2021. The Tamil Nadu supply result has been released in online mode. Students can check TN 10th supply result 2021 on the official website - dge.tn.gov.in or tnresults.nic.in. They need to enter the exam roll number and date of birth to check TN SSLC supply result 2021. The online Tamil Nadu 2021 supply result is provisional, students collect their mark sheet and certificates from school.
