Assam SET (State Eligibility Test) Exam 2014: Notification
State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Commission, Assam (N. E. Region) invited application for SET (State Eligibility Test) . Interested and eligible candidates can apply on or before 30 August 2014.
State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Commission, Assam (N. E. Region) issued notification inviting application for SET (State Eligibility Test) to examine eligibility of candidates for appointment as Lecturer in various Colleges and Universities. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the SET to be held on 16 November 2014 test by submitting their duly filled in application forms at the Center where they intend to appear for the exam on or before 30 August 2014.

Test fees: The test fee of Rs.400 is to be paid in cash while depositing the application form.
Mode of test: The Test will consist of three papers having objective type questions in two separate sessions – Session I and Session II.
During Session I, candidates will have to appear in two paper – Paper I and Paper II -- of 100 marks each. Each paper will be of 1¼ Hours. In paper I, candidates would be required to attempt 50 questions of the 60 given while in Paper II candidates will have to answer all the 50 questions asked.
During Session II, candidates will have to appear in only one paper – Paper III -- of 150 marks. The paper will be of 2½ Hours and candidates would be required to answer all the 75 questions asked.
A subject‐wise general merit list will be prepared for the candidates who would obtain the prescribed minimum marks separately in Paper I, Paper II and Paper III.
Another merit list subject‐wise and category‐wise will also be prepared. The lists would be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in all the three papers.
Successful candidates will be eligible for appointment in the above States and Meghalaya only
NOTE: Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the Master Degree examination can apply for the test.
How to Apply: Application forms for the Test are available at the designated Centres/ Universities. Candidates can collect and deposit it at the centre where they intend to appear. Candidates willing to appear for the test at the Guwahati Centre should submit the duly-filled in form, in the office of ‘The SLET Commission, 2nd floor, B K B
