The Class 10 results 2014 for Tamil Nadu Board are likely to get announced today on 23 May 2014 at around 10 am. The candidates who have appeared in the examination will be able to check their results on the official site of Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination. The Tamil Nadu Board of Education scheduled the Class 10 examination in the month of March-April. It started on 26 March 2014 and ended on 09 April 2014. According to the reports, this year 10, 38,876 regular candidates and about 74,647 private candidates appeared in the TN Class 10 examination. The examination was held at 3,179 centers located across the state.
Last year the number of candidates that appeared in the examination was 10, 51,062 and the pass percentage recorded was 89%.
Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education was formed in the year 1910. Now it works under the Depart of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. It has many private and public schools under its affiliation and is responsible to conduct Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations every year. It also has some objectives as to provide free and compulsory education to all the kids for improvement in basic amenities.
