AP Boiler Operation Engineers Examination is conducted by the Boilers Department , Andhra Pradesh, to certify the proficient engineers in boiler operation, an essential qualification in order to be employed as Boiler Operations Engineer in the industries located in the state.
Eligibility Criteria for AP Boiler Operation Engineers Examinations 2016-17
Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
Candidate should posses a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Power Plant or Production or Instrumentation Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized institution.
candidate should have 02 years post degree experience and 05 years Post diploma experience in operation and/or maintenance of a Boiler of not less than one thousand square meters heating surface or a Battery of Boilers of not less than 1000 square meters heating surface in aggregate . However, for degree holders or post-graduate diploma holders from a National Power Training Institute, requirement of minimum working experience shall be one year.
Mode of Examination:
The Examination is conducted in two parts viz. Written Examination followed by viva Voce. The written examination will consist of three papers viz. BOILER I, BOILER II and DRAWING subjects each with a maximum of 100 marks Viva examination with maximum of 100 marks.
A minimum criterion to get certified as Boiler Operations Engineer is to obtain minimum 45% in each paper and Drawing and Viva-voice.
