IIM Udaipur concludes summer placement drive for PGP of 2018
IIM Udaipur concludes its summer placement drive on an excellent note with highest offers in the marketing and sales domain. Find out how many offers were extended in other domains
IIM Udaipur has completed the Summer Placement drive for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2018. The placement drive was conducted for batch size of 180 students out of which 157 students sought placement through campus and the rest 8 students opted for entrepreneurial programme offered by the institute.
Renowned brands such as General Electric, RBL Bank, Amul, Xpress Money, NMC Healthcare, Snapdeal and ICICI Bank extended placement offers to the candidates. This year 46 companies participated in the placement drive, marking an increase of 9.5% over the previous year. In addition, a 100% increase in the number of international placements with 14 students bagging offers outside India was also witnessed.
Highest offers (71 offers) were extended in the domain of sales and marketing. Among these offers, Amul, Berger Paints, Cummins, Titan, United Breweries, ICICI Bank, PNB Metlife and Decathlon topped the charts in recruiting the interns.
In the financial domain, 24 students were recruited. Even in the fintech (financial technology) domain 16 students were hired. Moving forward, 23 offers were made in the consulting/strategy domain where major recruiters were NMC Healthcare, Genpact and Bosch India.
This year, the average stipend offered stands at Rs. 52,653/- while the highest stipend offered jumped to Rs. 1,60,000/-.
