India Post GDS Notification 2025: India Post has started the online application process for engagement huge number of candidates as Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) for a total of 21413 vacancies for the post of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. 10th-passed candidates can easily apply online on the official website i.e. indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The last date for applying is 03 March. However, the correction in the application will be done from 06 to 08 March.
Candidates should note that the vacancies will be filled in AP, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal region. The highest number of vacancies are available in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Tamil Nadu.

The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the age should not be more than 40 years.
India Post GDS Educational Qualification 2025
- Candidate should be 10th passed with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories
in India. - The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th Standard from a recognized board. The detail of post-wise local language. prescribed by the Department. There is a special provision for engagement of GDS in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

India Post GDS Recruitment Selection Process 2025
- Merit List 2025: There will be no exam for this recruitment. The selection will be done on the basis of a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the 10th Exam aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will undergo document verification.
- Medical Fitness Test: If required, candidates must pass a basic medical fitness test

India Post GDS Result 2025
The result will be announced after completing the recruitment process. The result will be announced in the form of a merit list. Around 7 to 8 merit lists will be prepared and uploaded on the official website. The merit list will be prepared for each region.
India Post GDS Recruitment Selection Process 2025
The process to determine the percentage in the merit list will be based on the marks obtained in 10th class of recognised Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. For applicants whose Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet contains the “marks” as mentioned in each subject or “marks” and “Grade/Points” both, their “marks’ will be worked out by taking into account the 'marks obtained'. In case any applicant applies with grades/points instead of marks, his/her application
will be liable for cancellation. However, if for any particular subject (s) only grades are mentioned in the mark sheet then for that subject (s) grades can be mentioned and the same need not to be converted to the marks by the candidates.
