JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Shift 1 and Shift 2: This was the third day of the JEE Main April session, and everything went as per the schedule. The students first reach the exam centre 30 minutes before the entry time with minimal stationery and accessories. They were allowed to take a transparent water bottle. After their identification, the systems were allocated, and they were instructed about the process. The exam started on time at 9:00 a.m. The candidates log in to the system using their unique ID and date of birth. Three hours turned into air, and students came out of the exam centre with mixed emotions. The majority of the students felt good, as they were confident in their performances.
Shift 2 is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Till then, we will analyse shift 1 and see what questions were asked. This exam analysis will be beneficial for students who have already taken the JEE Main exam as well as for those who will take the exam. Check the details below:

JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Exam Pattern
You all must be aware of the exam pattern for JEE Main. The paper comprises three subjects: physics, chemistry, and mathematics, in equal proportions. The questions are asked as multiple-choice questions and numerical questions. Students choose, but have to attempt at least 25 questions from each subject. JEE Main Marking Scheme
Like many other entrance examinations. NTA follows the concept of negative marking for JEE Mains as well. For each correct answer, the students get +4, and for each incorrect answer, they get -1. Thus, marking incorrect answers will directly affect your final score. The questions were MCQs and numerical types. Check the marking scheme in the table to understand it better.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 April 6 Shift 1 Analysis
Shift 1 of JEE Main Phase 2 April was a success. The students felt good about the paper.
Student Reaction:
- They found the paper was similar to previous questions paper in terms of difficulty.
- This times paper of all shifts is almost similar in difficulty level.
- No questions are out of the syllabus. The paper till now are balanced.
- Theory questions were NCERT based
- Till now, Mathematics comprise (40% moderate, 40% easy, and 20% difficult questions)
- Physical part was in chemistry as compared to organic and inorganic part.
- Calculus part was less compared to previous papers.

Chemistry: Easy to Moderate
JEE Main 2024 Session 2 April 6 Shift 2 Analysis
This time the papers are following the similar trend in terms of difficulty level. Students say that the difficulty level of the paper decreases from Mathematics to Chemistry. Overall, The shift 2 paper was also moderately difficult with no out of syllabus questions.

When Will JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Provisional Answer Key Be Released?
As per the last records NTA takes around 6 to 7 days to release the provisional answer key for challenge. Thus, it is predicted that for JEE Main 2024 Session 2, the provisional answer key will be around April 20th to April 21st, 2024.
