The Prime Minister is the Chief Person of the Government. The Prime Minister's Office of India (PMO) refers to a group of officers and employees coming directly under the Prime Minister of India. Every candidate has dream to work under Prime Minister’s Office.

Basically, Candidates are selected through the written test for recruitment to the post of Officers and Staff in Prime Minister’s Office. These exams are conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Eligibility Criteria for PMO

The candidates should be at least graduate from a recognized University to apply under PMO.

Eligibility- The candidate should be an officer in the central government and has worked at Regular Basis in the central government’s parent department.

Staff Nurse
Salary - pb2 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay 4600
Eligibility- The candidate must be an officer in central government and should have working experience in civil organization on regular basis.

Pharmacist
Salary – pb15200 - 20200 Grade Pay 2800
Eligibility- The candidate must be an officer in central government and should have working experience in civil organization on regular basis.

Field Officer
Salary- pb2 9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay 4800
Eligibility- The candidate must be an officer in central government and should have working experience in civil organization on regular basis.

Assistant Library and Information Officer
Salary- Level-7 (Rs. 44900- Rs. 142400) in the pay Matrix
Eligibility – Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union territories or recognized Research Institutions or Universities or PSU or Semi Government or Saturatory or Autonomous organizations are eligible for this post. The candidate should have worked as officer in parent cadre on regular basis.

Principal Assistant Secretary, Corporate Services Division
Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Management or relevant field from a recognized Institute with at least 5 years of work experience in government.

Assistant Foreman
Salary- pb1 5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay 2800
Age Limit – The age should not be less than 56 years

Upper Division Clerk
Salary: Rs. 30,000 to 35,000
Educational Qualification: Graduation

Lower Division Clerk
Salary: Rs. 25,000
Educational Qualification: Graduation

Stenographer
Salary: Rs. 35, 000 to 42,000 (approx)
Educational Qualification: Graduation

Selection Process for getting Job in PMO
For getting Job in Prime Minister Office, You have to prepare like other tough exams. These exams are Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). You should have an excellent knowledge on current affairs, general science etc. You can also solve the previous year’s questions papers for revision. This will help you to know about the exam pattern, questions etc.   Candidates are required to prepare for these exams like IAS Exam.
