Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Gorakhpur invited applications for recruitment to the posts for Sports Person (Athletics) and other posts. The candidates eligible for the posts can apply through the prescribed format on or before 29 August 2016 and candidates of remote area can apply on or before 14 September 2016.

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Gorakhpur invited applications for recruitment to the posts for Sports Person (Athletics) and other posts. The candidates eligible for the posts can apply through the prescribed format on or before 29 August 2016 and candidates of remote area can apply on or before 14 September 2016.

Under Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Gorakhpur Recruitment 2016, there are out of 21 posts, 02 Posts each is for Athletics (Men)/ Cricket (Men)/ Football (Men)/ Weight Lifting (Women), 03 posts for Kabaddi (Men), 07 posts for Basket Ball (Women), 01 Posts each for Basket Ball (Men)/ Diving (Men)/ Badminton (Men) for recruitment against ‘Sports Quota 2016- 17’ in North Eastern Railway.

Eligibility for Sports Person:

For Post having GP 1900/ 2000: candidate should have passed Higher Secondary (12th Standard) Pass or equivalent.
For Post having GP 2400/- (Technical): candidate should have passed Higher Secondary (12th Standard) Pass in Science or equivalent.
For Post having GP 2400/- (Technical): candidate should have passed Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent.
Must have meritorious achievement in the particular sports discipline.
Must represent Country in International Competition and State in National Competition, Inter- University Tournaments, State Level School Tournaments and Senior/ Junior Championships of Single/ Doubles events of current Annual All India Ranking.

Age Limit: Candidate should be between 18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2016.

Selection Procedure: Candidates would be tested based on performance in trail and evaluation of Sports and their educational achievement.

Railway, CCM Annexe Building, Railway Road No. 14, Gorakhpur (UP) – 273 012 on or before 29 August 2016 and candidates of remote area can apply on or before 14 September 2016.

Examination Fee:

Gen/ OBC & Others: Rs. 500/- in the form of Indian Postal Order (IPO).

SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Serv./ Female Minorities and Economically Backward Class Candidates: Pay Rs. 250/-.
