For the year 2012, the Staff Selection Commission conducted SSC-Combined Higher Secondary Level Written Exam on 21 October, 28 October, and 4 November 2012. The exam was held for recruitment to the posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks in different central government departments.
The Written Paper for SSC-CHSL Exam 2012 comprised 200 questions divided into four different sections -- General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and English Language (Basic Knowledge). Each section carried 50 Questions of 1 mark for each. There was penalty of 0.25 or 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer.
