Dear aspirants, SSC stenographer notification will be released on 17thJune, 2017 as per the exam calendar issued by SSC. The exam of stenographer will consist of objective type multiple-choice questions in written test and skill test. The applicants who will qualify in the written test will be invited for skill test.

About SSC

The staff selection commission was established on 4thNovember, 1975. It is known for recruiting government official under various ministries and departments in Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts. The headquarter of SSC is located in New Delhi with 7 regional offices at Mumbai, Allahabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore headed by the regional director. It also consists of two sub-regional offices at Chandigarh and Raipur headed by Deputy Director.

SSC Stenographer 2017: Eligibility Criteria          

SSC has decided the following criteria for SSC stenographer exam.

  1. Educational Qualification- Applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent degree from any recognized institution/university. All the supporting documents are subjected to verification at the time of joining service.
  2. Age limit- The age of applicant must be in between 18-27 years as on date 01.08.2017.

SSC Stenographer 2017 Application fee

Applicants are required to pay Rs. 100 only through the online application. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes, ex-servicemen, physically disabled and women category, need not to pay any application fees.

SSC Stenographer 2017: Exam pattern

After applying online, you should start preparation for the exam. For it, you must be well aware of the exam pattern and syllabus. Let us know about the updated exam pattern.

-          There will be two exams- written test and skill test.

-          The written question paper comprised of General Awareness, English language & comprehension and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

-          There will be 200 questions in time duration of 2 hours.

-          SSC reserves the right to determine the minimum qualifying marks.

-          There will be a provision of 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.

-          Only those candidates will be called for skill test who have qualified written test.
