Teacher Recruitment by Tripura Government, Apply for 2115 TGT & PGT Posts before 01 October

Tripura Teachers’ Recruitment Board (TRBT) has started online application process for 2115 TGT & PGT recruitment. Candidates can apply before 01 October.

TRBT has called for online applications from Indian Nationals having permanent residence in Tripura for selection of candidates for recruitment as Post Graduate Teacher and Graduate Teacher (Secondary), under Education (School) Department, Government of Tripura.

While a total of 821 vacancies are for PGT posts, 1294 TGT posts are open for recruitment.

The examination for TRBT recruitment will be held on 20 November 2016.

Who can apply for TRBT Recruitment 2016?

For PGT Posts: Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognised university and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from a NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognised institution OR The person having Post Graduate Degree possessing 45% marks in the relevant subject and obtained B. Ed Degree (Bachelor of Education) (as per NCTE Regulation, 2002 or NCTE Regulation, 2007) from NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognised institution come in this category OR Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognised university and B. A. Ed. /B.Sc. Ed. from any NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education ) recognised institution.

For TGT Posts: Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 50% marks in either graduation or post graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution OR Graduate/Post Graduate from recognised university with at least 45% marks in either graduation or post graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution {in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to star new course or training). Regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007} OR 4 years degree of B. A. Ed. / B.Sc. ED. from any National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution.

For both the posts, candidates must be below 40 years.

What are the selection criteria for TRBT Recruitment?

Selection of candidates for preparation of merit list will be only on the basis of marks obtained in STGT 2016 and STPGT 2016. Merit list will be prepared form amongst the candidates, who obtain at least cut off marks, that is 35% (52 out of 150) or more marks for UR category and 30% (45 out of 150) or more marks for SC/ST/PH category in STGT 2016.

What is the examination pattern for TRBT Recruitment?

For PGT Posts: Question paper for STPGT 2016 will be 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of one mark each except mathematics where there will be 75 MCQs of two marks each.

For TGT Posts: Question paper for STGT 2016 will have 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of one mark each.

For both the examinations candidates have to shade/darken the right choice of answer among the four options for each question given in the Question Booklet. Each right answer will be awarded one mark other than mathematics where each right answer will be awarded two marks. There will be no negative marking. Question papers will be in English and Bengali only (other than language Papers). OMR Answer Sheet for marking answers and instructions etc. will be in English only.

How to apply for TRBT PGT/ TGT Recruitment?

Candidates are required to send their application online at trb.tripura.gov.in along with fee of Rs 300 (Rs 200 for reserved categories). Candidates are to deposit test fees in cash in any branch of State Bank of India through system generated challan in favour of Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura.
