UGC NET 2024 December: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2024 (UGC NET December 2024) notification on its official website. The UGC NET exam used to be conducted twice in a year, generally in June and December. The UGC NET exam which is a gateway to evaluate applicants for Junior Research Fellowships and Assistant Professor positions in different colleges and Institutions/Universities, will be conducted from January 1 to 19, 2025 across the country.
The online application process has been commenced and interested and eligible candidates can apply at -ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Remember that December 10, 2024 is the last date for submission of online application. The correction window will open on December 12 and 13, 2024. UGC NET Dec 2024 will be conducted from January 1 to 19, 2025 across the country.
This year the exam will be conducted for a total of 85 subjectds in lieu of 83 subjects. Two subjects including Disaster Management and Ayurveda Biology have been added in the UGC NET December 2024 exam and thus this time this exam will be conducted for 85 subjects.

What is Eligibility For UGC NET Exam 2024?
As per the notification released for UGC NET Exam 2024 December session, below are the eligibility criteria to apply-
Educational Qualification:
The candidate should have a master’s degree from a recognized university.
The subjects should include Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science, Electronic Science, etc.
A Minimum of 55% marks in subjects as a general category candidate, while 50% for reserved categories.
Age Limit:
Maximum age for JRF: 30 years.
There is no age limit for PhD and Assistant Professor.

Candidates will have to pay the requisite application fee to apply for UGC NET 2024 December Exam. As per the notification, the application fee for the UGC NET exam varies depending on the category of the candidates. Apart from this, you will have to pay the fee as per the number of papers you are applying for. The UGC NET application fees has been listed below for different categories:

How to Fill UGC NET 2024 Form at ugcnet.nta.ac.in?
You can apply in online mode after following the steps given below.
Step1: Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Application Form December 2024” link.
Step 3: Now register yourself after using your basic details to generate login credentials.
Step 4: Log in to your account and complete the detailed application form.
Step 5: Now upload the scanned documents including photograph, signature, qualification certificates and more to the concerned link.
Step 6: Now pay the category wise application fee in online mode.
Step 7: After that submit the form and download the same for future reference
