The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET 2024 result for the June session on October 17. Candidates who appeared for the UGC NET June 2024 exam can check their results on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects, spanning 11 days in 21 shifts across 280 cities from August 21 to September 5. A total of 11,21,222 registered applicants took the exam in two shifts, with 6,84,224 candidates appearing and 1,70,734 securing above the UGC NET Cut off marks. 4,970 candidates shortlisted for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), 53,694 for Assistant Professor positions, and 1,12,070 for PhD programs.
UGC NET June 2024 Result Analysis
According to the data shared by the NTA, over 11.21 lakh candidates registered for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). This year saw a 50% increase in candidates, with 6.84 lakh appearing for the exam compared to over 4.6 lakh last year. Refer to the table below for a better understanding.
