NTA UGC NET Result for Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4 and Phase 5 is announced on April 13, 2023. It is expected 50,000 have passed the exam. UGC NET result can be checked by entering their application number, date of birth and captcha image on the official website (ugcnet.nta.nic.in). UGC NET Result 2023 Cut Off: 40 percent for unreserved and 35 percent reserved category
- Candidates must have appeared in both the papers
- General (Unreserved)/General-EWS candidates must have secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together
- Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer), PwD and third gender) must have secured at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together

What is UGC NET 2023 Result Qualifying Criteria
40% aggregate for unreserved and 35% for reserved category
The UGC NET result 2023 is to be declared only for those candidates who will secure qualifying marks as per their category. The eligibility criteria for JRF and for Assistant Professor are mentioned below.
- Candidates must have appeared in both the papers
- The UGC NET result is prepared by calculating percentile to percentage convertor method.
- General (Unreserved)/General-EWS candidates must have secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together
- Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non- Creamy Layer), PwD and third gender) must have secured at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together.
UGC NET exam for the ‘December cycle’ was conducted from February 21 to March 16, 2023, in five phases over a period of 16 days. The exam covered 83 different subjects and was held at 663 centers across the country. It is to be noted that 8,34,537 candidates appeared for the exam.
UGC NET Answer Key was uploaded on 23 March 2023 and the objections were submitted by the students till 25 March 2023. On the basis of objections submitted by the candidates, UGC NET Final Answer Key and Result are prepared.
