UPSC 2020: Amid COVID-19 pandemic the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct UPSC CSE 2020 prelims. UPSC 2020 Prelims Exam timings for Paper 1 will be 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM & Paper 2 it will be from 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM. More than 6 lakh candidates are expected to appear for UPSC 2020 Prelims. - Review the UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card thoroughly & bring errors, if any, to the notice of the UPSC instantly.
- Write your Name, Registration ID, Roll Number & Name & Year of the Examination in all the correspondence with the UPSC.
- Take the UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card (print out) along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is specified in the UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card, in each sitting to ensure admission to the Examination Center. UPSC 2020 E-Admit Card must be preserved till the declaration of the final UPSC 2020 Result
- You are accountable for secure custody of the UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card & in the event of any other person using UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card, the onus lies on you to confirm that you have not used the service of any impersonator.
- Candidates should note that any mistake/mission/discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially about Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the UPSC 2020 answer sheet liable for rejection.

- Please note that admission into the Examination Center shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination i.e. 09:20 AM for the Forenoon Session & 02:20 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate shall be allowed the entry into the Examination Venue after closure of the entry.
- Candidates are encouraged to enter the Examination Venue well in time for frisking.
- Candidates should note that they shall not be permitted to appear at any other Examination Venue except the Examination Venue
mentioned in the UPSC 2020 e-Admit Card.
- Learn the 'Special Instructions for candidates admitted to the Examination' given in the 'Rules for the Examination' available in
Examination Notice & the 'Poster' containing instructions displayed outside the Examination Venue.
- Your candidature to the UPSC CSE 2020 is provisional.
- Candidate should not have or using any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic devices or programmable device or storage media like smartwatches, pen drive, etc., or Bluetooth devices or camera or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future Examinations.
- Use of normal or simple wristwatches by candidates is allowed inside the Examination Rooms/ Halls. However, use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as a communication device or smartwatches is strictly prohibited & candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/ Halls.
- There will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in both the question papers of the Examination.
- Answers other than those made by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
- Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/ costly items and bags to the Examination Venue, as safekeeping of the same cannot be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
- Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-Admit Card will have to bring a photo identity proof and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the Examination with an undertaking.
- Candidates, who have opted for their scribe, may note that their scribe will be allowed for the Examination only with a separate e-Admit Card for such scribe. The e-Admit Cards for the own scribes will be issued separately.
- Wearing masks/face covers is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
- Candidates, however, will have to remove their masks for verification, whenever required by the Examination functionaries.
- Candidate may carry his/her hand sanitizer (small size) in a transparent bottle.
- Candidates to follow COVID 19 norms of 'social distancing' as well as 'personal hygiene' inside the Examination Halls/Rooms as well as in the premises of the Venue.
