SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2023
SSC MTS eligibility criteria 2023 is notified by the Staff Selection Commission in the SSC MTS notification. SSC MTS Age Limit
According to the SSC MTS notification, the SSC MTS age limit is categorized into two groups. The age limit for SSC MTS post is 18 to 25 years while for Havaldar, it is 18 to 27 years. Candidates who belong to the reserved categories can avail age relaxation as per the government norms. Check the table below to know the SSC MTS age limit.

SSC MTS Age Relaxation
The candidates who belong to the reserved categories are entitled to receive age relaxation as per the SSC MTS notification. The category wise age relaxation is given in the table below.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification
SSC MTS educational qualification consists of the following:
- Candidates should be at least 10th passed from a recognised board or equivalent.
- Candidates who are appearing for their 10th exam can apply for SSC MTS exam, however, such candidates have to produce irrelevant documents, i.e. proof of their matric pass at the document verification.
SSC MTS Nationality
According to the SSC MTS notification, candidates should be an Indian citizen or must meet any of the following given nationality:
- Subject of Bhutan or
- Subject of Nepal or
- Tibetan refugee who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, settle in India, or
- Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to settle in India

SSC MTS Physical Requirement

SSC MTS PST Requirement for Havaldar Post
The candidates who qualify the SSC MTS written exam can appear for the SSC MTS Havaldar PST requirement that consists of fulfilling the height and weight for male and female candidates.

Candidates who fulfill the height and weight requirements for the post of SSC MTS Havaldar will have to undergo the following Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria for Physically Handicapped Candidates
The SSC MTS eligibility criteria for physically handicapped candidates varies as per the extent to which they have the disability. In order to be categorised in the SSC MTS PwDcategory, the candidates’ body parts should be at least 40% affected. The eligibility criteria for physically handicapped candidates include the following:
- One leg affected (ON)
- One arm affected (OA)
- One leg and one arm were affected (OAL)
- Both the leg affected but arm is not affected (BL)
- Blind (B)
- Low Vision (LV)
- Hearing (H)
- Communication (c) is eligible for multitasking staff posts.
