Just around the corner is the 2024 Summer Olympics, and in the badminton world, there is much excitement! At the Porte de la Chapelle Arena in Paris from July 27 to August 5, it will be an intense showdown of 172 athletes representing the finest in this field. With 86 men and 86 women, all looking for glory competing in five events, who will come out on top?
The badminton tournament is also reflective of the sport's past popularity. There are two events for men and two for women here along with a stirring mixed doubles double feature. We certainly hope you don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Paris Olympics 2024 Badminton Complete Schedule
In 1972, the sport of badminton flittered first onto the Olympic scene as a demonstration sport in Munich, so fans could get a taste of its fast and furious gameplay. Then in 1988 in Seoul, it returned as an exhibition exciting for everyone involved, putting more pressure on the International Olympic Committee to submit ultimately to adding it as a full medal sport.
Officially speaking, badminton took its bow at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Four medal events were contested, namely men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles. Since then, representatives from all corners of the globe have emerged to thrill audiences worldwide with their top-quality Olympic badminton games.

With the Paris Games starting on Saturday, the pair are ready to set India free from its Olympic gold medal haunter title. At the same time, the impressive PV Sindhu seeks to confirm her status in legendary lore by being the first sportsman quickly term three-time Olympic medalist, an achievement made not on sport's tracks but overall and which has placed among the greatest of all time people ever. With the curtains set to fall on her illustrious career, Ashwini Ponnappa is bound for her Paris finale - and certain that this one will be unforgettable. In what is likely her third and last Games, Indian shuttler Ponnappa will pair up with the debutante Tanisha Crasto and hit out for their country in the sacred name of women. An experienced and skilled pair, Ponnappa and Crasto are hopeful of a peak performance.
