CBSE Circular

CWSN Notification: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a circular today on 7th October 2021. The authorities have issued the circular with regards to Children with Special Needs (CWSN) candidates and the facilities that have been extended to them. Candidates can check the CWDN notification at the official website - cbse.gov.in and also here on this page. The board has issued a clarification with regards to the CWSN candidates. The notice for CWSN has been released as a continuation to the earlier circular dated 14/02/2020.

It was released with regards to the medical certificate of candidates with Intellectual Disability or Mental Illness. The circular released today is also a continuation of various other circulars and facilities that were extended by the board for CWSN candidates.

CBSE CWSN Notification

According to the circular, the board is totally committed to implementing the Rights of Person with Disabilities Act 2016 in its true form. As far as possible, both the directions issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment are followed by the board. The circular issued by CBSE dated 14/02/2020 did not intend to lay down any procedure or rule. It aimed to inform all stake holders about the "assessment of the extend of the specified disability in a person included under the Rights of Person with Disabilities Act, 2016." The board has also mentioned that it would sincerely and persistently ensure that the right of its students under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 are maintained.

CBSE in its 14/2/2020 circular had mentioned to all schools affiliated with CBSE that it had issued parameters to measure Mental Illness and Intellectual Disability.
