GATE 2025 Important Dates
GATE applications will close on September 26, 2024. Candidates will also be provided with an extended window where they can submit the applications with a late fee. Check the complete schedule here.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Before filing the GATE 2025 application form, students must check through the eligibility criteria carefully. The following are the eligibility criteria for GATE 2025.
- Candidates in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any of their degree programmes in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.
- Candidates who have certification from any professional societies which conduct examinations in various fields of engineering must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc.
- Candidates who have completed /are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities.

GATE 2025 Registration and Application Process
The last date for students to apply for GATE 2025 is September 26, 2024. Eligible candidates can check the GATE application process below.

Step 2: Click on the GATE new registration link
Step 3: Enter the details to complete the registration process
Step 4: Log in to fill out the online application
Step 5: Upload all documents required
Step 6: Submit the application fee and click on the final submission link
GATE 2025 Application Fee
Along with the application form, students are also required to submit the GATE 2025 application fee online. The fee has to be submitted via credit or debit cards or net banking and UPI facilities. Check the category-wise application fee details here.

GATE 2025: Documents Required to Fill Online Application
Students applying must upload the following documents in their GATE 2025 application form.
- A high-quality image of candidate’s photograph conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- A high-quality image of candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
- Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of PwD Certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
- The photo ID must have the Name and date of birth of the candidate and a unique photo ID number. This photo ID must be carried in original to the examination hall for verification.
