ICAI CA Exam 2021: CA July Exams cancelled at all Centres in Kathmandu, To be held As per Schedule for Rest

ICAI CA Exam 2021 Updates: As per the latest update, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to cancel CA July 2021 Exam for Foundation, Final and Intermediate Courses at all Exam Centres based in Kathnmandu today. The exams were scheduled to be held from 5^th to 20^th July 2021 at various exam centres based in the capital of Nepal, but they now stand cancelled. The Institute also confirmed that due to the cancellation of exams, the July session will not be treated as an attempt for the students registered from Kathmandu Centres. The ICAI has also clearly notified that the exam schedule for the rest of the exam centres will remain unchanged and exams will be held as per the schedule announced earlier.

Official Notification Released

With the ICAI CA Exam 2021 starting today, to avoid any misinformation and rumours about the examination, the institute released an official notification on its website. The official notification in this regards read “It may be noted that for the students appearing from the examination centres of Kathmandu, July 2021 examinations will not be treated as an attempt. The students appearing for above examinations from any of the examination centres in Kathmandu, Nepal need not individually apply for opt-out to appear in November 2021 exams as the said opt out is automatic as per Institute’s Announcement dated 1st July 2021 to which the students may refer.”

Furthermore, the notice also clarified that “However, it is clarified that the schedule of examinations notified vide Announcement dated 5th June 2021 in respect of all other cities/ centres shall remain unchanged.”

Exam Day Guidelines for ICAI CA July 2021 Test Takers

Keeping in mind then current situation of the pandemic, ICAI has prescribed specific guidelines that provide how the exams would be held keeping in mind the health, safety and well-being of the students. For this, the institute has issued a dedicated set of exam-day guidelines and instructions that are to be followed by all test-takers. The key among them are explained below:

• Test-takers are advised to reach exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time
• Test-takers have to carry admit card and a valid ID document proof with them mandatorily
• Candidates should wear mask, carry a transparent bottle of drinking water and 50/100 ML bottle of hand sanitizer and admit card.
• In case any students get infected with COVID-19 mid exam, they will be given an opt-out option and July session will not be considered as an attempt for them
