The state government of UP has been in a mission mode to make education possible for all the segments of the society. The government has launched some schemes for the betterment of the minorities of the state and has been keeping up the pace for some more improvement. The minority department of the UP government has been planning to run smart classes and ITI courses for the section of the society which is minority. The government has been trying to increase literacy rate and job oriented education among minorities. The step to start the minority education has been done aimed at the same. As per the sources, the district minority welfare department of the state will soon run smart classes for them at schools.
Under this scheme, five villages in the division will be identified and at these places school, ITI and Sadbhavna Bhawan will be constructed. The aim is to provide formal education and technical knowledge to those children who belong to the minority community. The project is being run under the Prime Minister’s Janvikas Kalyan Yojna. The minority welfare department of the state is going to conduct smart classes at the schools and madarsas in the selected district. However, these classes will be run on the basis of the need of the school. As of now, there will be a survey and verification in the blocks in order to identify the schools to provide benefits under this scheme. After the survey, the budget will be finalised for smart classes and ITI.
SP Tiwari, the District Minority Welfare Officer, said, “There are plans to run smart classes in the new session. Places are being selected at different blocks for opening Sadbhawna Bhawan.” The orders have already been passed to the concerned for the implementation of the scheme. The state government of UP has announced a budget for modernisation of madarsas in the state. Once, the survey is completed, the scheme will be implemented for them.
