Students choosing Basic Mathematics in class 10 and willing to continue studying mathematics in class 11 must appear and qualify the supplementary exams. The notification has been issued by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
As per the information provided, students option for Basic Mathematics in class 10 exams and wish to continue studying mathematics in class 11 will be required to pass the supplementary exams and choose standard Mathematics in order to proceed with their studies.
The board has also informed that students will be provided the option to choose between Basic Mathematics and Standard Mathematics in class 9 for the 2024-25 academic session and in class 10 for the 2025-26 academic session.
Basic Mathematics has been introduced for students opting for streams other than Mathematics while Standard Mathematics is for students who wish to pursue engineering and other Science streams where mathematics is a compulsory requirement.
