Rajasthan to set up a third Sainik School in Alwar, Get Details Here

According to media reports, a third Sainik School will be set up in Rajasthan in Alwar District after two other Sainik Schools were opened earlier in Chittorgarh and Jhunjhunu districts. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot as per a statement released has approved a proposal for the allotment for free land in Haldina Village of Malakhera tehsil of Alwar for the establishment of the school. 

The statement further adds that the land for the school is worth Rs. 8.41 Crore will be allocated free of cost for the opening of the Sainik School. According to the new statement released, with the decision of the Rajasthan state government of setting up the new Sainik Schools in Alwar, the children from Alwar and other nearby districts in Rajasthan will be able to get quality education and get better opportunities to serve the country by joining the Army.

Sainik School Scholarships

The state government of Rajasthan has also decided to increase the scholarship amount for the students in Sainik Schools in the state along with the annual family income ceiling in order to apply for the scholarship programme. The Rajasthan state government will also be providing Rs. 15000-37,500 instead of the Rs. 10,000-25,000 to the bonafide students studying in Sainik Schools in Chittorgarh and Jhunjhunu.

The proposal was approved by the Chief Minister as per which Rs. 25,000 has to be paid for the tuition fee in the form of a full scholarship to the students studying in Sainik Schools with an annual income of Rs. 1.2 Lakh. the annual family income of Rs, 3 Lakh and Scholarship amount as tuition fee payable has also been increased to Rs. 37,500.
