Haryana Govt to Hold Trial Classes in Schools: As a step towards reopening of schools in the state, the Haryana State Government is likely to hold trial classes for Class 10 and Class 12 students in two district schools. The decision to reopen schools for trial classes has been taken keeping in mind the Unlock 4.0 Guidelines. According to reports, the state government will reopen schools in two state-run schools in Karnal and Sonipat districts on a trial basis. The trial run of the two government schools will be allowed to reopen only after all necessary modalities and requirements are worked out with regards to precautions that need to be taken to keep students and teaching and non-teaching staff members safe.
Parents Give Go-Ahead for Reopening
According to the information provided by State Education Department, the two schools that are being planned to reopen on trial basis include Government High School in Sonipat's Bazidpur Saboli village and Government Senior Secondary School in Nigdhu village in Karnal. The decision to reopen these schools was taken by the state government after a majority of parents of students studying in these schools gave their approval for the same. The written consent given by the parents has been sent to the state-education department, which will now work out the necessary modalities.
State Govt Ready to Reopen Schools in Haryana
During a media interaction, Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal told reporters in Hisar that the state government was ready to reopen schools in the state once the Central Govt gave its approval for the same. He said the state authorities will need a few days to work out the modalities in view of the ongoing Covid pandemic once the nod comes. As per the details available now, students will need a written consent from their parents before coming to schools, where they will undergo thermal scanning before entry and will have to wear masks and sanitize their hands.
