VITEEE 2021 Online examinations

Vellore Institute of Technology is conducting the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE 2021) from today onwards. The examination is being conducted in the online proctored mode from today - May 28, 2021, to May 30, 2021. 

Since the VITEEE 2021 exams are being conducted in the online remote proctored mode, the candidates can appear for the exams from home itself as per the slots allotted. Detailed guidelines for the students to follow have been issued on the official website of the institution. 

Details related to the online examinations

As per the information provided the VITEEE 2021 examinations are conducted on the Codetantra portal available at viteee.codetantra.com. Candidates are required to login into the portal using a primary device (computer) and a secondary device (Android/ iOS) both of which must have an internet connection.

Computers must have a Window7/ MacOS 10.11 or higher operating systems while mobile phones must have a front camera and Android 8/iOS 13 or higher Operating system. It must be noted that the Cidetantra application must be downloaded on the devices.

Candidates are required to log in to the Cidetantra platform using the VITEEE 2021 login details - Registration ID and Password. After logging in candidates will be able to use their chosen slot for the exams and after choosing the lost correctly candidates can click on ‘Take Test’ to continue with the exams.

The audio/video signals will be checked by the applications and the video camera must be functional at all times since the application also captures live images of candidates to confirm their identity. After conducting a detailed environment check on the computer the candidates are required to upload ID proof like PAN card, Drivers License, or college ID.

Candidates are also required to log in through the secondary devices as well. Once logged in from the secondary device the candidates are required to position the device in such a way that both their hands and face are clearly visible. Only after setting up the devices, students will be able to unblock the test link and proceed with the test.
