There are two types of engineering entrance exams in India; national level and state level. National level exams are conducted by the institutions for admission to engineering courses in different disciplines from all over the country. State level exams are conducted by the organizations of state government or by the Universities for admission to engineering courses in different disciplines from the particular state. In the state level entrance exams, some seats are reserved for the outside candidates (candidates belonging to the state other than the conducting one) as well but the major number of seats are for the candidates of participating state only.
Before start preparing for the engineering exams the candidates must go through the complete syllabus of the exam. The syllabus helps a candidate in preparing a proper strategy for the exam. It helps a candidate to divide his/her study hours acoording to the syllabus of the length.
