Dharamshala – As a serious mistake was reported from Chuwari in the Chamba district, the Saturday Class 12 English exam in Himachal Pradesh was canceled. When the Class 12 English question paper package turned out to have been opened earlier than planned on Friday, the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPSEB) reacted right away.
The board was notified by email that the English test questions for the March 8 exam had been unsealed at Government Senior Secondary School Chuwari. Following the assessment of video evidence posted to the Exam Mitra mobile app, the board verified that the Class 12 English paper bundle had, in fact, been opened beforehand at the testing location.
Reports state that the error happened when the Class 12 English paper bundle was inadvertently reopened rather than the Class 10 question paper batch. The board promptly halted the test after discovering the problem in order to avoid any unfair advantages or question paper leaks.
The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Secretary, Dr. Major Vishal Sharma, acknowledged the cancellation and promised to provide the new date for the English exam soon.
The HPBOSE Exam Class 12 English Canceled: Official Notice
The board has formed an inquiry team and sent it to Chamba in order to look into the subject thoroughly. Investigating how the early release happened and whether or not the question paper's information were exchanged or distributed after it was unsealed are the team's tasks.
The state's handling and security of exam materials have come under scrutiny after this occurrence, since Class 12 board exams are essential to pupils' future academic endeavors. Strict action against anyone found guilty of carelessness or misbehavior has been promised by the education board.
