IIM Nagpur, IIM Jammu, IIM Sirmaur will shortlist MBA aspirants without conducting Personal Interview round. The selection will be based on the aspirant’s performance in CAT Exam
If you are one of those relying on the CAT Scores to seek admission in MBA Institute, then there is good news for you. Recently, IIM Nagpur, IIM Jammu, IIM Sirmaur announced that they will shortlist the MBA Aspirants on the basis of CAT Scores only. This implies that these institutes will not conduct any GD-PI round for the interested aspirants.
Shortlisting Process for MBA Programme
All the applicants who applied for IIM Nagpur, IIM Jammu, IIM Sirmaur and seem to be eligible to the respective institutes will soon receive an e-mail conformation. As per the mandate, the aspirants are required to reconfirm their interest from each of the 3 new IIMs.
If you wish to apply in any of these IIMs then after receiving an e-mail, revert on the mail by confirming your interest to the respective IIM to be considered for final admission by them.
All the IIMs shortlisting candidates through CAT scores solely are expected to announce their final shortlist by the month of May 2017.

IIM Nagpur Selection Criteria
As per IIM Nagpur announcement, this year the institute will see a batch size of 60 students for its PGP. The institute has also made it official that it will consider candidate’s Past Academic Performance (PAP), Work Experience (WE), and performance in CAT.

Stage 2: Criteria for Final Selection of the Candidates
- Past Academic Performance (PAP): performance in 10th and 12th Standards and Bachelor's Degree will be considered for the final selection
- Work Experience (WE)

(FS) = 0.50 * (CAT Total Score /Maximum1 CAT Total Score) + 0.30 * (PAP Score) + 0.20 * (WE Score)

Stage 2: Generation of merit list for final selection
In stage II, the candidates will be allotted ratings based on their performance in CAT, X and XII standard. Ratings for their performance in graduation, Diversity Factor, Work experience and Gender Diversity will also be considered.

IIM Sirmaur Selection Criteria
IIM Lucknow mentors IIM Sirmaur and the institute will also shortlist MBA aspirants without conducting further GD and PI rounds.
