The Jharkhand Staff Selection has recently notified for recruitment of 17572 trained graduate teachers in its primary schools as well as for other classes in various districts of the state. You have to be a graduate for this recruitment exercise along with a B. Ed. Degree. This is a great opportunity for candidates, who want a government job in teaching. Jharkhand SSC TGT Recruitment: Details of posts
Through the TGT recruitment process, the state government is going to recruit teachers for the following subjects:
You will get the opportunity to apply for one of the subjects in which you have completed your graduation. The vacancies have been earmarked for primary schools as well as other standards. For any subject, you must have scored at least 45 percent in the relevant subject and bachelor of education degree from an organization recognized by NCTE. For music and physical education disciplines, there is no requirement of B. Ed degree.
Jharkhand SSC TGT: Salary and perks
For all the posts except for the music discipline, you will be allotted the pay band – 2 of Rs. 9,300-34,800 with a grade pay of Rs. 4,600 but for the music discipline, you will have the same pay band, but the grade pay is Rs. 4,200. These posts will carry the gross emoluments of Rs. 35,000 and grade pay of 4600 and Rs. 30,000 and grade pay of Rs. 4,200. However, these pay scales are expected to be revised after the implementation of the recent pay commission recommendations approved by the state government.
Apart from the salary part, you will have various perks such as medical facilities, the opportunity to pursue further studies for professional development, paid leaves, LTC facility, pension scheme & etc. on this job.
Jharkhand SSC: Career growth for TGT posts
Everybody looks for career growth in any job, especially the youngsters of today. This job is for those who are passionate about teaching and who want a comfortable job. This job will offer you work life balance along with a number of leaves in the year. There is no specific career growth for these posts. You will get increment every year as per your pay scale, but the promotion aspects are very bleak. You will be promoted to teachers and at the most, the principal if you are interested in that towards the end of your career.
Jharkhand SSC TGT: Postings and transfer policy
In this recruitment process, you will be able to apply from only one district in which you are a native. It is, therefore, obvious that you will be posted in that district only and transfers will be restricted to that district only for the initial period of your career. However, you may to have to serve in rural as well as urban areas of the district during your career. If you are interested in taking promotion as principal, there are chances that you are transferred out of your district in the last years of your career. Transfers are not very frequent and most of the time, you will be posted within your home district.
