Staff Selection Commission(SSC) will hold the Combined Graduate Level(CGL) Examination, 2016 (Tier-I) on SUNDAY the 8th & 22nd May, 2016 and if necessary, on subsequent Saturdays/Sundays, in different batches, for selecting candidates for Tier-II examination for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations.
Scheme of the Examination for CGL Examination 2016:
The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:
Tier -I -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -III -- Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification
Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview.
Note: The Commission reserves the right to make changes in the scheme of examination such as conduct of Tier-I and Tier-II examination in computer based mode, treating Tier-I examination as only qualifying etc.

Note: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I and Paper-III for each wrong answer.
Combined Graduate Level (Tier-I) Examination: Tier –I of the Combined Graduate level Examination will be common for all categories of posts.

Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination:
Tier-II of the Combined Graduate Level Examination -2016 will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice and will be conducted over a period of two days. Probable dates for CGL (Tier -II) Exam are 13.08.2016 (Saturday) & 14.08.2016 (Sunday).

I. Paper-I & II are compulsory for all the categories of posts.
II. Paper-III is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr. II & Compiler.
III. Paper IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
