- The paper was of 80 marks and students got 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete the question paper. The first 15 minutes of the exam after receiving the question paper were given to help students understand the question paper, check all the questions, and devise a strategy for the exam.
- There were four sections in the paper and each section was dedicated to different types of questions. The differentiation is made on the basis of marks allotted to each question in the segment and simultaneously the nature of answers to be written for the questions in the same segment.
- Section A consisted of 32 objective-type questions where students had to choose one correct option from the available four options. MCQs, fill in the blanks, True and False, Match the following, one sentence answer were the types of questions asked under this segment.
- Section B consisted of 10 very short answer-type questions. All the questions in this segment had internal choices. The answers had to be answered within 30 words.
- Section C consisted of 4 questions with a word limit of 75. All the questions under this segment had internal choices.
- Section D consisted of 4 questions with a word limit of 120 words. All the questions had internal choices.
- The internal choices made the paper a bit easy to attempt since students had an option to choose another question if they did not know the answer to the first option.
